About

For teaching a LIBBI that has a roster in Argos (i.e., LIBBI-COMP102, LIBBI-102COMP-RA, LIBBI-303COMP), please follow these guidelines:
  • Use the Argos roster.
  • Mark student names in attendance. Feel free to mark roster names with “X,” a checkmark or other symbol of your choice.
  • Initial and date the roster. This will be very helpful at the end of the semester for student attendance questions. All rosters are kept on file.
  • Slide the roster under Myra's office door or put it in her mailbox. Turn in the roster as the last step in teaching the LIBBI. COMP rosters should be turned in as soon as possible.

Notes:
If a student’s name is not on the roster, add the student's name manually. Z#s are not needed and should not be written on the roster.

Attendance and the Student Grade

Please make sure attendance is marked correctly.

Non-attendance at a required Composition LIBBI session results in a one half letter grade (5%) deduction in the course for each required LIBBI. Students in Composition 102 are required to attend two LIBBI sessions, so non-attendance of both sessions results in a letter grade deduction for the course.

If a student questions the attendance records or if he/she did not initial the attendance roster, the teaching librarian will determine if the student attended, then mark, initial and date a duplicate roster and turn it in to Myra so the student gets credit for attending the LIBBI.
