Requesting Interlibrary Loan Materials

Faculty may borrow materials not held by the ORU Library at no cost to them through the interlibrary loan (ILL) service.

Submit requests electronically using forms available in the EBSCOHost and FirstSearch Databases or opens new windowWorldCat by completing the online opens new windowILL form.

Requests may also be emailed to LibILL@oru.edu.
Be sure to provide complete contact information.

Before Requesting, Please Check

Please check the library's holdings and the Internet before requesting to avoid requesting items already available to you.

 

For books, please check the opens new windowLibrary Catalog. Search by author, title, keyword, or subject.

 

For articles, please check library holdings by searching for opens new windowJournals by Title. Search by journal title.

To search by title for a journal article, you may also use Eagle Search and limit your search to articles only.

You may also use Google Scholar. On campus, your search results will include links to ORU e-resources. To use this feature when off campus, add the ORU Library to the Library Links in the Google Scholar settings.

Cost

There is no cost to faculty for Interlibrary Loan requests. All fees and postage are covered by the library. Students pay a request fee plus return postage for books. If you want to arrange for your upper division or graduate students to qualify for a waiver of the request fee, email Ask-A-Librarian.
