LI Teaching Forms

In order to document Library Instruction (LI) statistics, when you teach or present library instruction, complete one of the forms below.

opens new windowTeaching Librarian Data Form - LIBBI with Attendance Roster
Use this form for LI that needs a roster with student names, such as for a professor requested LIBBI or a sr. paper LIBBI. This form requires the course name, course number, and CRN. (Note: You do not need to complete a form for LIBBI-102Comp or LIBBI-303Comp.)

opens new windowTeaching Librarian Data Form - No Attendance Roster/ Non-LIBBI/ Presentation
Use this form for LI that is training, a presentation, faculty demonstration, or other teaching that does not use or need a roster, and is not hands-on. This form documents total number of attendees, not individual student names.

Scheduling the LIL

To check LIL availability, sign in to SpringShare then go to LibCal > Events > LIBBI Schedule / LIL Cal.

To schedule a LIBBI, add the LIBBI following the format of LIBBI calendar entries. (Example: LIBBI-409NUR, Patterns of Community Health.)

Sr. Paper & Sr. Paper Prep Classes

Sr. Paper library guides that were created provide resources lists, examples, subject content, tips and more.

  1. If the sr. paper LIBBI is in the LIL, add the LIBBI on the LIL calendar. Try to follow the format of LIBBI calendar entries. (Example: LIBBI-499SWK, Sr. Paper Research)
  2. Complete the Teaching Librarian Data Form - LIBBI with Roster form.
  3. Take attendance.
  4. Turn in attendance after the sr. paper LIBBI session.
  5. Email attendee names to ILL (LibILL@oru.edu) to be added to the ILL sr. paper fee waiver list.
