Finding financials on private companies
Privately owned companies are not required to make financials public (as publicly-traded companies are). Some databases (such as opens new windowD&B Hoovers and opens new windowData Axle) calculate estimated (or modeled) financials for private companies. Sometimes an article in the trade or business press will mention revenues for a private company, but these are not verified.
