Creative Studying Resources

Studying doesn’t have to be boring.

Thankfully the J. D. McKean Library recognizes the need for supportive resources.

At the front desk you can check out a portable white board that you can roll to any area of the library to work on those mind maps, create a visual list of class notes, or to organize project materials.

Some classes have video homework. In the digital age, those homework assignments don’t have to be intimidating or done in a badly lit dorm room anymore. In the J. D. McKean Library, you can check out a ring light and take it to any room or study space in the library. Now you can make sure you’ve got a great background, a silent space where you can be heard, and the best lighting for a professional video.

If you need to give your brain some fuel, the library has a vending room with snacks and drinks, or maybe you need a late-night pick-me-up and grab a coffee. Perhaps you’re looking for a break from studying all together then explore the VR headsets in the Innovation Station or give the Flight Simulator a go.

The library is a great way to find resources for just about anything you might need on campus or for classes. And the best resource of all are the reference assistants and librarians who can help you find your way to the start of a research project or where to find the printer.

We look forward to seeing all the ways you’ll make this semester the best one yet!
