Unsung Hero: Dr. Angela Sample

On April 21, 2025 our librarian, Dr. Angela Sample was awarded the Unsung Hero Award.

As Associate Dean, Liaison Librarian, and Library Webmaster, Dr. Sample is deeply committed to fostering a student-centered, academic environment through strategic leadership, personalized support, and accessible digital services. As Associate Dean, she focuses on student success by aligning library initiatives with institutional goals and by mentoring student employees. As a liaison librarian, she delivers tailored instruction, offers one-on-one research support, and advocates for wide-ranging, diverse resources. As Library Webmaster, she ensures the library’s digital presence is accessible and user-friendly, enhancing students’ ability to engage with services and information. She has also led the implementation of impactful digital tools such as Lean Library, WMS, and Princh printing to improve access, efficiency, and support for students. Across all roles, her work centers on improving the student experience through innovation and engagement.
