Student Use

The Faculty AVR Room is NOT designated for group study, but it is permitted for student to use the room specifically for virtual reality (VR) activities related to coursework or assignments.

  • To use the room, students must check in a the Library Service Desk, where the librarian will open the room for them.
  • VR hand controllers can be checked out from the Library Services Desk and must be returned there at the end of the scheduled time. Student IDs will be held until the controllers are returned.
  • Students may pick up a one-time use VR mask from the Library Service Desk.
  • When using VR, it is recommended that users take a break after 30 minutes.

Note: During mid-terms and finals ONLY, the room will be available for a group of 3-5 students for group study.

Reserving the Room

Students may reserve the room for up to two (2) hours specifically for VR use. However, during finals and mid-terms ONLY, the room may also be reserved for group study purposes.

To gain access to the Faculty & AVR Room after receiving email verification of the booking, students must check in at the Library Service Desk. The student's ID will be held at the Library Services Desk while the room is booked. After finishing, students are required to check in at the Library Service desk to get their ID and allow the librarian to lock the room.
