ORU Library Catalog

Why use the ORU Library Catalog?

Use the opens new window ORU Library Catalog to find books on education and related topics that are available in print in our Library as well as ebooks to which we have access.

A subject search searches for all of the items in the catalog that have been grouped under a specific subject heading; in this case education. See How to Search for Books and ebooks for more information on searching the catalog.

To perform a subject search of the catalog for education, go to the Library's home page, click on the Books+ tab, change the dropdown to Subject Heading, enter education in the search box, then click on the Submit button.

Google Books Search

Why use Google Books?

Google Books searches the full-text of books. Often a preview or snippet view is available. Search for the title of a specific book to see if Google Books has a preview of that book. If there is a preview, you can search within the text of books. Another helpful feature of Google Books includes the ability to see the table of contents, index, or a portion of the contents of the book. You may be able to see enough in Google Books that you will not need to request by interlibrary Loan if ORU Library doesn't own the book.
