💡Use a variety of searches and keywords that are specific to the topic you are researching. This will help you find relevant scholarly articles more effectively.

Be sure to apply appropriate limiters as required by your assignment or professor. You can usually set limiters in two way:

  • After your search using limiters and filters on the results page, or
  • Before your search using the Advance search page options.

  • Limit articles dates (e.g., last 5 years)
  • Use other limiters, such as language or subject.

🔎 TIP: Using library databases can make your searching more efficient. These databases offer limiters and filters that are typically not available through general web searching. Additionally, the databases provide citations and many articles in EBSCO databases now have AI Insights that provide you with two to five key article points.
