Request materials for the library

If you would like to suggest books or media for the library to purchase, please send your request to me.

Please let me know if the item will be assigned reading or viewing for your students and I will place it on Reserve for you to ensure that all students are able to use it (in-library for limited period, usually 2 hours at a time).

Research

I am always happy to help your and/or your students with research.

Click on the blue Schedule Appointment button on the right to set up a research consultation. If you need a time outside those offered on the scheduler, please email me.

If you wish to require your students to meet with me, or offer extra credit for meeting with me, let me know and I can provide confirmation that the meeting took place.

Library Instruction

I love working with students and always feel it is a great honor to be invited to a class to speak to students. Contact me if you would like to set up a session for your students. I can come to your classroom or we can meet in the Library Instruction Lab.

I can also help with embedding Information Literacy into your curriculum and assignments. Contact me if you would like to learn more.

Digital Showcase--Reaching the World!

Oral Roberts University has a digital repository where you may publish your significant research, excellent student senior projects, conference presentations... Anything you can imagine that will enhance the scholarship of your college!

The ORU Library provides and oversees the Digital Showcase. Works posted on the Digital Showcase have been downloaded over 762,000 times from 222 countries. Most items submitted are freely available to download, but there is the ability to require ORU authentication. All works reserve copyright to their holders.

You can submit your outstanding students' works to be posted on the Exemplary Student Work page. We can set up a download map such as the one on the Nursing Undergraduate Work that will dynamically show downloads of works posted around the world. You may also publish your own work. Simply submit it via this Link.

Ask Daniel Eller, who oversees management of the Digital Showcase for more information on how to post faculty and student works to the Digital Showcase.
